The Bed & Breakfast Salerno Antica is located in the heart of the historic center of Salerno. It’s situated in a pedestrain area, a short walk from the train station and marina.
It is convenient for those who visit Salerno for work, or for those who are looking for a memorable holiday. The building is located on one of the oldest streets in the city - Masuccio Salernitano - which leads to two of the most characteristic medieval squares of Campania: Piazza Portanova, known as "the salon of Salerno" and Piazza Flavio Gioia, better known as "La Rotonda.” They were divided in 1754 by the city’s only gate which still remains intact today: Porta Nuova. The building that houses the Bed & Breakfast dates back to 1400, and is a former convent of Poor Clares (Clarisse). It has recently been renovated and a lift has been added. The B & B Antica Salerno, is located on the 3rd floor of the building with elevator, and has 3 spacious, comfortable, and tastefully furnished rooms. Each including a private bathroom. Breakfast, rich in Mediterranean flavor , is served in the living room or on request, served in your room for extra comfort and privacy. Arechi castle, dominates the city with its walls that were never conquered. Teatro Verdi, dates back to 1869 and was once called the small S. Carlo.
